It's that time of year again when people all across America are getting ready to carve their turkeys and profess all the wonderful things that they are thankful for. For us here at CloudAccess.net, we are thankful for you!
We all know that things can get a little tough during the holiday season so last month we decided to do a food drive to benefit our local branch of the Salvation Army. This organization has been around for a long time and they are always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need.
Last night several of our CloudAccess.net staff and family members attended the “What You Need to Know About Breast Cancer Now” seminar that was hosted at the Cowell Family Cancer Center here in Traverse City Michigan.
This past weekend two of our team members, Danielle and Jonathan attended WordCamp Minneapolis. The event was well organized, there were many other sponsors, and loads of attendees eager to learn! They were instantly welcomed to the conference as they arrived at the speaker/sponsor networking event. As part of networking, they played a game of giant WordCamp Jenga which was riveting, to say the least!
The first day of the conference was in full swing bright and early with lines out the door. Our team setup the booth as quickly as possible before the 300+ event attendees began rolling through.
Last weekend two of our team members, Danie and Eyvonne, attended WordCamp LA (WCLAX) 2016, an experience that did not disappoint. They had the wonderful opportunity to meet many amazing sponsors such as ourselves, along with the event organizers that make all of the magic happen. The event was held at the beautiful California State University of Los Angeles. The sponsor booths were setup outside on a balcany so that all could enjoy the perfect LA weather. Outside of the conference, they even had a bit of time to catch some fun at Universal Studios!
You asked and we listened! We're happy to announce that our extremely popular Site Replication Feature is now available for everyone, including Free Site users!
It's very simple! It creates an exact copy of your site and reproduces it on another site. You don't need to worry about creating a backup and then restoring it; this feature does everything for you automatically.
You will immediately notice a new, more intuitive user interface. The backups remain listed in chronological order and the same general backup specifications are displayed, but we have now expanded the vertical space that a backup occupies to accommodate larger buttons and distinct labels that will help users understand the general functions at a glance.
Prior to this Backup Manager update, an individual backup's time-stamp was the best way to identify it from the others. We have now added the ability to attach a title and comments to your backups. This allows clients to keep their backups more organized by providing an identifier on the backup itself.
As most of us know, WordPress was first developed as a blogging platform, and Twenty Fifteen is a new theme that gets back to these roots. Twenty Fifteen is a clean, elegantly-designed, highly-customizable, blog-focused theme. It looks great on all devices, whether mobile or stationary, and comes with improved language support from Google's Noto Font family.
Ever want to just write? Doing so in WordPress 4.1 is easier than ever with the improved distraction-free writing mode. This feature has actually been around for a while now, but the way the interface fades in and out and the accessibility of the full toolbar has changed.
