Cloud.com

From Citrix Systems, Cloud.com continually brings innovations to the world of cloud computing. Cloud.com relies on the CloudAccess.net platform to keep all new cloud products online and ready for market. They manage content, create communities, build marketing portals, construct landing pages and manage SEM and SEO, and they do all this from one Joomla! platform within our network. Cloud.com provides software that enables companies to manage, compute. and store resources. Cloud.com is a proud user of CloudAccess.net’s Platform as a Service (Paas), leveraging the power of our dedicated Virtual Private Memory Cloud (VPMC).

Barnes & Noble Nook

Built to manage the registration process for the Nook Developer’s platform, this system has a massive amount of additional backend functionality integrated into an Oracle Database. This is a system that we created to replace a vendor's software that was having trouble scaling holiday traffic. We assisted Barnes and Noble to envision the design and functionality of their application that is hosted in our highly-available, virtualized cloud environment.

Children’s Hospital Boston

One of our largest projects to date, we designed a social Intranet and collaboration tool for over 30,000 Harvard doctors. Created and hosted by CloudAccess.net, the SPARC system fosters innovation with social tools specifically tailored for the Children’s Hospital Boston employees. These tools include all of the social communication that one would expect from a site like Facebook, and much more. The SPARC system has cutting edge tools like an idea incubator, a Resource Exchange which allows hospital employees to effectively seek out and find both goods and talent, as well as a full-featured wiki and file repository with versioning that was built and customized by CloudAccess.net. The Boston Children's hospital is using our secure hosting platform that is protected by powerful application firewalls. We also offer segregation of server resources with block level encryption types that meet the highest HIPAA security standards.

Notre Dame

Notre Dame needed a cloud-based solution for their Alliance for Catholic Education division. CloudAccess.net created this template from a custom Adobe Photoshop Document (PSD) made by our internal design staff. We call our method “The Real Design Process” because we draw a version of the site in layers and get approval from the client on the different views before we develop the site. The client first provides us a .pdf or .jpeg image of what they’d like the template to look like, and our graphic artist communicates directly with the client to create the PSD. After the client approves the PSD design, our Joomla! coders get to work creating application, bolting it together, and plugging it into the Gantry Framework. We operate transparently, and the client is informed at every level of the process. The Notre Dame Alliance for Catholic Education also features an internal facebook-style social network in the same Joomla! application. This creates a unified environment for marketing, the private community portal, and additional intranet portal features.
