Creating Articles (Joomla 2.5)

Articles are a great way to display content on your site. Typically, an article is about topic related to your site. You can link articles to menu "Single Article" or "Featured Articles" menu item types. Understanding how to create articles is critical to creating an excellent Joomla! site. This article contains instructions on how to create and save an article.

Once you log in to the Administration area (the back end) of your Joomla site, select the "Add New Article" icon.

Once in the Article Manager: Add New Article area, look for the red asterisks - this is the information you must fill out to save the article properly. Add a title, save the article in the appropriate category, and add some text into the "Article Text" area. You can also add images into your article, create links, and other special features depending on which editor you're using as the default editor. Be sure to save your work, and your article will be complete.
